A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice.

We implant the chip under the skin between the shoulder blades.  The chip has a specific number linked to your pet.

This system was invented because tattoo markings fade over time, and it is difficult to reunite an owner with their pet based on a faded tattoo, or colour markings.

The microchip company has a number to phone if someone finds your lost pet.  All lost pets are scanned by the Humane Society, pound, or any vet clinic.

We phone the company and your pets microchip number is connected to your name, address, and phone number.

I have seen this system work extremely well at reuniting a lost animal with its owner.

The most important thing to remember is to update information to the microchip company if you move or change your phone number.  This is very critical for the microchip system to work correctly.
